What the center does
Training and support for teaching staff
The center provides methodological, educational and organisational support: it trains and advises teachers, applies industry e-learning standards and develops the online learning environment.
- helping teachers build online and blended courses: technical and methodological support, and instructional design;
- providing the tools needed to develop and teach courses online;
- training in e-learning methods;
- a standardised course structure, a single format and templates;
- workshops aimed at practical skills in building online and blended courses;
- training in the core tools for building online courses;
- instructional design using online and blended learning methods to produce electronic teaching materials;
- methods of asynchronous online teaching.
Guidelines and standards
Developing guidelines and standards for building online and blended courses, based on current trends and best practice in educational technology. The guide covers core principles, templates and detailed guidance on instructional design, pedagogy and assessment.
Methodological support for faculty
The center helps teaching staff master modern e-learning tools, and runs methodological workshops and pedagogical seminars.

Open edX for video courses and self-paced study, Moodle for blended learning and static materials, and Google Classroom for collaborative work.
Teacher training
Training is aimed entirely at building online and blended courses: seminars and workshops on course development and pedagogy, teaching aids and a dedicated online course for faculty, plus practical guides and recommendations.
The center works towards an online learning environment comparable to that of the world's leading universities, built on standard industry tools and established e-learning practice.
